Unique design meets the latest driving excitement!

Japan’s Tobu Zoo kicks off the season with a new Drifter and impresses with striking design

With great pride and excitement, ZIERER celebrates the successful opening of the first Drifter in Japan. This innovative attraction is all about fun, action, and adrenaline. It promises an unforgettable experience from the very start.

Featuring a bold popcorn-themed centerpiece paired with airboat-style gondolas, this ride is set to stand out. The real highlight? Curved LED lighting highlights the gondolas with an eye-catching glow, especially after dark.

The Drifter is an interactive ride experience inspired by ZIERER’s popular Jet Skis. This dynamic carousel features nine gondolas rotating around a central structure, installed on a concrete surface. What makes it truly special: each gondola is equipped with a lever that puts the rider in control.

In its default position, the gondola follows a fixed track. But once the lever is activated,
the wheels move freely creating an exciting drifting motion.

The result is a thrilling, easy to handle ride that combines fun, movement, and interaction in a unique way.
Many thanks to Atsushi Daimon Representative Director President of Sanoyas Rides Corporation and
Tobu Zoo for the great cooperation with this beautiful project.
