ZIERER delivers "Vertical Drop" coaster to Virginia

In February a coaster with “Vertical Drop” element was shipped to Williamsburg Virginia/USA. The new ride of the leisure park Bush Garden’s is called “Verbolten Car” and is planned to be inaugurated in May 2012. In the USA the coaster is highly promoted and the visitors are wishfully looking forward to it. The rail network is 900 meters long and looks a bit like the “Schwarzwald". Altogether the coaster has 16 seats and reaches a top speed of 90 km per hour. Winding sections do not only create accelerating power but also lateral force. In the “Vertical Drop” element the passengers experience a free fall of two meters. For Wolfgang Brück, managing director of ZIERER, the project is one of the most challenging jobs of the last years. The concept for the ride has just been presented in August 2010. The engineering began in November of the same year, the assembly in March 2011. Until its opening in May 2012 four or five employees of ZIERER supervise the ride on site.

New roller coaster "Polar-X-plorer" for "Legoland Billund", Denmark

The “Legoland Billund” in Denmark will come up with a new attraction next spring: the “Polar-X-plorer” designed and manufactured by ZIERER Karussell- und Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH. The “Polar-X-plorer” is the highlight of the new 12,500 m² big adventure area “Polar Land” with live penguins – and therefore a special way of getting in touch with animals. The coaster reaches a top speed of 65 km/h and passes a frozen waterfall, big lego polar animals and a huge mountain. Afterwards the coaster surprises in a special way: the passengers suddenly experience a free fall of five meters before they drive through the penguins park in moderate speed. The “Free Fall” of five meters is a new highlight within the coaster series of ZIERER, not only with regard to the special kick for the passengers but also regarding the technical aspect: the vertical drop element convinces by an uncomplicated construction method and can be used in any ZIERER custom elevated seating coasters.

Force 190 now also in Germany

We look forward to the commissioning of the third Force 190 coaster within two years. This smaller model of our Force Coaster series will spin around in Plohn / Germany coming spring. The trains were shaped true to detail in the style of the park, with “Plohni” – the mascot of the park – as front coach. We feel certain that this coaster will not only inspire our young visitors.

Force Two Family Coaster – our favourite

Once again ZIERER was able to launch one of the favoured Junior Coasters in Europe. Besides a racy and winding ride over a track of approximately 230 meters, this coaster will also convince by an individual train theme. The coaster will “fly” over the track as an owl. Here the park mascot acted as a model as well.

 

Star Shape goes Britain

It is an exceptionally great pleasure for us to deliver a travelling model of our Star Shape to a British fairground entertainer. With its appealing design this major ride will certainly attract lots of visitors at British fairgrounds and other events. The six arms, each for 5 passengers, will spin the visitors in 30 meters height through the air –adrenalin rush guaranteed!
